CLODEx 1.16.0-community4 is now open for hands-on community testing on macOS, Windows, and Linux.

This build comes from one exact main commit and includes 85 commits since v1.16.0-preview.1. It is not a stable release: the binaries do not yet have trusted Apple or Microsoft publisher signatures, managed clodex.xyz sign-in is disabled, and updates are manual. This community build intentionally sends no PostHog or automatic installation/usage telemetry.

What changed

  • Added Max and Ultra modes for gpt-5.6-sol and gpt-5.6-terra.
  • Routed Ultra through the normal Swarm, queueing, approval, evidence, and durable-history paths; an explicitly selected Battle still takes precedence.
  • Hardened the durable MCP approval/denial lifecycle, workspace isolation, egress checks, terminal handling, and session recovery.
  • Made the packaged MCP host self-contained and expanded packaged acceptance coverage.
  • Restored the CLODEx green UI palette and fixed provider credential-status reporting.
  • Added reproducible community packaging with exact-source manifests, frozen dependency auditing, attribution notices, CycloneDX SBOMs, validation evidence, and updater exclusion.

First launch

  • macOS: after verifying the checksum, open the DMG and drag CLODEx to Applications. If Gatekeeper warns, use Finder's per-app Control-click → Open review. Do not disable Gatekeeper globally.
  • Windows: after verifying the checksum, open the installer. SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning; use its per-file review path. Do not disable SmartScreen or Defender globally.
  • Linux: install the DEB or RPM matching your distribution.
  • Add your own provider key, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or local Ollama in Settings → Models & Providers. Managed website account sign-in is intentionally unavailable in this community build.

What to test

  1. Sol and Terra in Max and Ultra.
  2. Ultra/Swarm and explicit Battle selection.
  3. Queueing while an agent is busy, without duplicate turns.
  4. Approve, deny, stop, restart, and session reload around MCP/tool actions.
  5. Terminal, browser, Git, file edits, workspace remount, settings persistence, and application restart.

When reporting an issue, include the operating system, provider/model, selected mode, reproduction steps, and relevant redacted logs. Feedback is collected manually and does not count as canary or stable-promotion evidence. Do not publish API keys, tokens, or private source code.
