This document explains what does what inside of Filmulator.

filmulator.cpp

filmulator.cpp is the main file of the program.

First it calls read_args(), which takes in the command-line options. read_args() sets up settings such as which file type to read and some processing and output parameters.

Next, it calls initialize(), which reads in film processing parameters from the configuration text file. The configuration file lets you adjust the parameters of the film that is being developed.

After that, it calls imload(), which loads the image(s) into memory for processing purposes.

The next step is the actual film simulation, which is performed by the function filmulate(). filmulate() first sets up the film to be developed, and then runs 10 steps of a numerical differential equation solver.

Finally, it runs output_file() which adjusts the resulting brightness and writes the output to a file.
