CircuitMuse v1.0.2
CircuitMuse v1.0.2 — Premium Features and Multi-Board Improvements
AI-powered circuit simulator and embedded board emulator for desktop. Design circuits, write Arduino code, and run real emulations — all in one app.
What's Inside
-
Premium Features are now Open-Source & Free:
- microSD File Upload: Write files directly to emulated microSD cards with a fully integrated FAT filesystem manager.
- STM32 and QEMU Raspberry Pi Emulation: Support for STM32 Blue Pill/Nucleo, and Raspberry Pi 3B/4B/5 board families.
- Export Schematic Images & BOM: Export clean, precise schematic layout PNGs and CSV Bill of Materials for your designs.
-
Massive Performance & Speedups:
- 15x Faster Compilation: Introduced persistent compilation caching for Arduino board targets, accelerating subsequent compilations.
-
Desktop & Layout Improvements:
- Fixed window layouts, responsive side panel navigation, external link redirection, and localized translation sync.
- Cleaned up verbose compiler logs and resolved simulation timeout locks.
-
Core Simulation Stack:
- 31 emulated boards — Arduino Uno/Mega/Nano, ESP32/ESP32-S2/ESP32-S3/ESP32-C3, RP2040/RP2350, STM32, ATtiny85, and more
- 150+ components — resistors, capacitors, LEDs, sensors, displays, motors, ICs, and wireless modules
- Real CPU emulation — not a toy simulator; actual compiled Arduino firmware running on emulated hardware
- SPICE analog simulation — accurate voltage/current analysis for analog circuits
- AI agent — connect Ollama, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenRouter for AI-assisted design and debugging
- Serial monitor — real-time serial output from emulated boards
- Multi-file sketches — write Arduino code with multiple .ino and .h files
- Library manager — search and install Arduino libraries directly from the app
- Project save/load — save your circuits and code as shareable project files
- Export — generate Arduino sketches from your circuit designs
- Setup wizard — guided first-run experience with board and AI configuration
Supported Platforms
| Platform | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Linux (x86_64) | AppImage | Universal — works on Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch, and derivatives |
| Linux (x86_64) | .deb | Debian/Ubuntu/Mint |
| Linux (x86_64) | .pkg.tar.zst | Arch Linux / Manjaro — install with pacman -U circuit-muse-1.0.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst |
| Windows (x86_64) | .exe (NSIS) | Windows 10/11 installer |
| Windows (x86_64) | .msi | Windows MSI installer |
| macOS (ARM64) | .dmg | Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) |
System Requirements
- RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
- Disk: 500 MB free space (includes bundled arduino-cli and board cores)
- OS: Linux (kernel 5.4+), Windows 10+, macOS 12+
First Launch
- Open the app — the setup wizard will guide you through board and AI configuration
- Pick an emulated board from the canvas
- Place components and wire them up
- Write Arduino code in the editor
- Hit Compile & Run to see your circuit come alive
Known Limitations
- macOS build is ARM64 only (Apple Silicon). Intel Macs not yet supported.
- WiFi/Bluetooth emulation is limited to basic packet loops
- Some advanced ESP32 peripherals (USB-OTG, camera) are not emulated
- Arduino-cli is bundled but core downloads require internet on first use
Credits
Built with Tauri, React, Pyodide, and Arduino CLI.
