Maybe "Keylock" isn’t the perfect term, but it’s the most straightforward way to describe it. Several Meshtastic-compatible devices have one or more sensitive input controls, such as rotary encoders, trackballs, or touchscreens.
In my experience, when users pick up these devices, they often find themselves unexpectedly navigating menus or, worse, accidentally sending one or more canned messages without intending to.
It would be very useful to have a quick shortcut (or key combination) to temporarily disable these sensitive input controls, effectively acting as a "lock" function.
