Source code archives for this public release contain release metadata only.

For macOS, the recommended Finder path is the universal
meta-edge-0.16.2-darwin-universal.pkg installer. It contains both
Apple Silicon and Intel slices, is Developer ID Installer signed, notarized,
and stapled. Open that package with Installer; afterward click The NEST in
Applications to open Terminal directly into the NEST TUI.

For Windows, run the amd64 setup EXE and click The NEST on the desktop or in the Start menu.
For Ubuntu/Debian, install the matching .deb and click The NEST in the
application menu. The Windows installer and Debian packages are intentionally
unsigned in this release, so platform or organization security policy may
still show a warning or block them. Advanced users and the CLI updater continue
to use the named platform ZIP assets below.

When a newer stable version is eligible, the running TUI keeps an
UPDATE AVAILABLE panel visible with the installed and target versions plus
one complete action. For every installation type, start with
meta-edge update. Apple Installer, Windows Setup, Debian, and Homebrew
installations receive the exact installer filename or package-manager command;
download-based handoffs include the backend-validated official Release URL.
Standalone macOS/Linux ZIP installations are verified and replaced by the CLI.
No channel silently installs or restarts The NEST in the background.

Both macOS ZIPs are Developer ID signed with Hardened Runtime and accepted by
Apple's notarization service. Their exact public proof is in
meta-edge-cli-macos-notarization.json and its three digest-bound Apple
notarization logs. The bare ZIP delivery format relies on Apple's online
notarization ticket and is not described as stapled; only the flat package has
a stapled ticket.

Download the ZIP for your platform, unzip it, and put the meta-edge binary
on your PATH. Run meta-edge start; the release binary is permanently bound
to the Production API and refuses API overrides or state from another environment.
