Hello, Full disclosure: I didn't write any of this myself. It was all done with Claude (an AI), working against my own panel (Premier Elite 24, V6.05.03, SmartCom) over a couple of days. No NDA. The protocol side is built on existing open-source projects whose licences allow reuse, mainly Joseph Heenan's texecom-connect (Apache-2.0) and texecom2mqtt (MIT), plus a few forks. Texecom-connect was itself written from Texecom's documentation, and Texecom agreed to its release in 2018. They're all credited in the NOTICE file. Everything else (how the SmartCom behaves, timings, what the panel actually sends during alarms, tampers and mains failures) came from testing on my panel, and it's written up in docs/development/protocol.md. Temperatures from shock sensors: no, it doesn't read those. Ricochet battery levels: not as levels. If the panel logs an "RF Device Low Battery" fault, it shows on the panel's Problem sensor, but it doesn't say which device. My system is all wired, so none of the wireless side has been tested. If you have Ricochet devices and can share debug logs or diagnostics, I'd happily look at adding them. |

I'll look later. I was told that the native API can trigger a panel alarm,
but that's not in texecom2mqtt, and something I can see a use case for.
The Texecom native app can trigger a panic for example.
I'd like to utilise the temperature and battery figures if they can be got
at, although they seem to have gone from the native app now also... well,
sort of....

It's here:
Security / Rooms and Shock Sensors.
Takes a while to register but they do have temps. It doesn't show their
battery %age though.

If you can share anywhere you’ve seen this I’d be grateful, having used
the official Texecom app and smartcom for 4 years I’ve yet to have any
false alarms or panics.
I’ve pulled battery figures, haven’t seen temperatures but will have
another look, it would help as people use it they share diagnostics so I
can get Claude to expand its current offering.
ran out of credits until Monday so currently collecting ideas to pick up
again next week so welcome to suggests stuff

Here are my diags. |
|
Thanks for the diagnostics and the screenshot, both really useful.
|
|
v0.2.5 is out: zones named Contact or DoorContact (like your Kitchen Ext DoorContact and Lounge Garden Contact) now show as doors instead of motion. You can still change any zone under Settings → Show as. It also adds a list of the panel's last 200 messages to diagnostics, which helps with the shock sensor temperatures and Ricochet levels. Still looking into those. Release notes |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Lo
Did you reverse this out of the other implementations or are you under Texecom NDA?
Does your implementation pick up temps from the shock sensors? And poss battery levels from the Ricochet devices?
