Bug Fixes

FreeBASIC-NG release qualification

  • Upstream base: FreeBASIC 1.20.0 development line at 5714d10adb21ba0d5d65d7d497ac32f509bb95ff. FreeBASIC-NG is independently maintained and is not an official upstream release.
  • Compatibility: source compatibility with that upstream base is the project target. No ABI compatibility with arbitrary FreeBASIC distributions is claimed; package managers must treat FreeBASIC-NG as an alternative compiler distribution.
  • Platform status: Linux x86_64/AArch64, macOS Intel/Apple silicon and Windows x86_64/ARM64 are Tier 1 native host archives. AmigaOS/m68k is a developer-preview target SDK; AROS and MorphOS target qualification remains deferred.
  • Integrity: every host archive has an SHA-256 entry in SHA256SUMS, an SPDX SBOM and a Sigstore keyless signature bundle. Debian amd64/arm64, Homebrew and both AUR channels completed their preflight and clean-environment qualification before promotion.

The independent release record is versioned in metaneutrons/freebasic-ng-site and is served from freebasic.metaneutrons.cc.
