Ventra is a public transit card in use in Chicago, Illinois. It is administered by the Chicago Transit Authority, and is a Cubic system.
There are multiple types of tickets in use:

First generation (introduced 2013-08): an open payments system based on MasterCard debit cards. These are silver, have 16 digit card numbers, and a MasterCard logo.
These will expire between 2017-12-31 and 2022-12-31, and will not be re-issued.

Second generation: a proprietary DESFire card, application ID

. These are blue, have 19 digit card numbers, and are unsupportable. -
