Monoview-0.1.1-win-x64.msi	The installer. It installs for you only, with no admin prompt, adds Monoview to the Start menu and to "Open with" for PDF, PNG and JPG, and uninstalls from Settings > Apps.
Monoview-0.1.1-win-x64.zip	The portable app. Unzip it anywhere and run Monoview.exe; nothing is installed.

Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11, on x64. You don't need to install .NET.

To make Monoview your default PDF app after installing, pick it in Settings > Apps > Default apps.

Windows SmartScreen: these builds are not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway.

What's new

• Installer. A per-user MSI: no admin rights needed. It installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Monoview, and a newer installer replaces an older one. Uninstalling keeps your settings.
• New app icon, redrawn by hand for the small sizes on the taskbar and in File Explorer.

Everything from 0.1.0 is included: reading, markup, signatures, form filling, page editing, tabs and windows, and live text.

Monoview 0.1.0

The first public preview of Monoview: a fast, clean PDF viewer and editor for Windows, modeled on macOS Preview.

What's in it

• Reading: continuous scroll, Acrobat-style Ctrl+scroll zoom, single and two-page views, links with Back and Forward, outline, thumbnails, and search that ignores case and accents.
• Markup: highlight, underline and strikethrough in any color; the markup bar (Ctrl+Shift+A) with freehand drawing, lines, arrows, rectangles, ellipses, text boxes and sticky notes.
• Signatures: draw, type or import one, then place, move and resize it.
• Forms: fill text fields, check boxes, radio buttons and drop-downs, with Tab between fields.
• Pages: reorder, delete, rotate, crop, insert from PDFs or pictures, copy pages between documents, extract, and export as PNG or JPEG.
• Tabs and windows: drag tabs to reorder, move them between windows, or tear them out.
• Pictures and live text: open PNG and JPG files; text in scans and pictures is read with Windows OCR.
• Safe editing: undo and redo for every change; saving never damages the original if it fails.

Everything you add is saved as standard PDF annotations, so other readers show it too. Monoview has no account, no ads and no telemetry, and form scripts never run.

Known limits

• This is a preview. Please report problems in Issues.
• No installer or winget package yet; they come in a later release.
• Redaction is not built yet. Crop hides the rest of a page but keeps it in the file.
