MFCommander 0.4.3
MFCommander 0.4.3
Licensing
- Activating while offline works at once and finishes the next time the Mac is online. A network or service problem never deactivates a Mac your license is active on.
Improvements
- Back and Forward return to the Kubernetes cluster or Docker engine a location was shown on.
- Files and folders that an SMB server exposes as links, as Windows does, now open and copy.
- A Kubernetes port forward's connection count updates without redrawing the whole list.
Bug Fixes
- Following the logs of a quiet pod or container stops when MFCommander quits.
- Opening a cluster or engine while a folder was still loading no longer swaps the tab back to that folder.
- A tab for a feature your license no longer includes is closed instead of left on screen.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed copying folders that contain links.
- Fixed archives with symlinks that produced empty files.
- Fixed scenarios where SFTP connections would fail. A refused key MFCommander remembered can now be cleared with Forget Host Key… from the Panel's banner or the connection editor.
- Removing a Kubernetes cluster also removes any open tabs to that cluster.
- Fixed SMB folder copies that failed when a file name included
:or\. - Deleting a Dropbox connection now removes its grant from your Dropbox account.
- Deleting a OneDrive connection now explains how to remove its grant from your Microsoft account.

- Choose the Terminal's font in Settings ▸ Terminal, including patched fonts such as Nerd Fonts, so shell prompt icons draw correctly.
- Use Option as Meta now takes effect. It is off by default, so in the Terminal, Option types @, brackets, and the other characters your keyboard layout puts on Option.
- The Bell setting is honored: Visual flashes the Terminal briefly, Sound plays the system beep, and Off stays silent.
- The Move to Trash confirmation's button is blue from the start instead of red for a moment.
- Escape cancels the Copy, Move, New Folder, Archive, and Move to Trash sheets, and the confirmations for Kubernetes detail actions, closing a busy Terminal, and quitting during a file operation.
- The Console item in the window's Status Bar no longer cuts off its label.
- When the window title is truncated, hovering over it shows the full location.
- The Search pane's idle instruction wraps instead of clipping in a narrow pane.
- Choosing a pod in the Kubernetes aggregated logs' source filter shows its logs instead of an empty viewer.

- A built-in Terminal. Open several terminal sessions at once along the bottom of the window, each running a shell on your Mac or inside a Kubernetes Pod or Docker container.
- Forward Kubernetes ports. Port Forward… on a Pod, Service, Deployment, StatefulSet, DaemonSet, or ReplicaSet makes it reachable at a local address. When the Pods behind a forward are replaced, it reconnects on the same local port. The new Port Forwards tab lists every forward with Open, Copy, Stop, and Retry.
- One Bottom Drawer for activity. Console, Transfers, Operation History, Port Forwards, and Terminal are now tabs in a drawer along the bottom of the window. View ▸ Show Bottom Drawer opens and closes it, and every tab except Terminal can still pop out to its own window.
- Messages is now called Console. Click a message to see its full detail, with Copy and Show in Panel, and filter the list by level.
- A Status Bar along the bottom of the window opens each Drawer tab and shows what needs attention: unread problems, unfinished transfers, and live port forwards. Right-click it to hide items, or turn it off in the View menu.
- Each Panel has its own Path Bar and Status Bar. The Path Bar carries a Filter for the Panel's list, plus Favorite, Refresh, and View controls. The Status Bar shows the item count, the size of the selection, and free space.
- A simpler toolbar: Left Side Bar, Connect, Search, Disk Usage, Duplicate Files, and Right Side Bar. Right-click the toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar… to add Back, Forward, Refresh, or Terminal.
- A new Go menu with Enclosing Folder, Home, Go to Folder…, Connect…, and Recent Locations.
- Add and edit connections without leaving the window. The + on a Left Side Bar section, New Connection… in the toolbar's Connect menu, and Edit Connection… on a connection's context menu open a sheet over the main window.
- The Function Bar follows what the Panel shows. On Kubernetes, F4 edits a resource's YAML and F8 deletes it. On Docker, F8 removes the selected item.
- Dates in listings fit their column instead of being cut off, with the full date in the tooltip. Turn off ISO dates in listings in Settings ▸ General to use your Mac's regional format.
- Names sort in natural order, so
file2comes beforefile10. - With Calculate Directory Sizes on, sorting by Size orders folders by their calculated size.
- Settings ▸ Appearance ▸ Row Style draws no borders, vertical lines, horizontal lines, or a full grid between rows.

- File operations run in the background. Copying, moving, deleting, and creating archives no longer lock the window. The new Transfers window shows each job's progress, speed, and time left, with Pause, Resume, and Cancel, and cancelling no longer leaves a partial file behind. Jobs on the same disk or connection take turns; others run side by side.
- Undo file operations. Edit ▸ Undo (⌘Z) reverses your last copy, move, rename, or Move to Trash, and Window ▸ Operation History rolls back earlier ones, even days later. Every file is checked first, and anything that has changed since is skipped and explained. History stays on this Mac for 30 days unless you change or clear it in Settings ▸ General.
- Answer file conflicts once. Choose Skip, Replace, Replace If Older, or Keep Both before a transfer starts, or answer in Transfers with Apply to all. A conflict no longer stops the whole app.
- Merges folders that already exist at the destination. A bulk Replace now merges too, so it no longer discards files that only the destination had.
- Browse an iPhone or iPad connected by USB, in every edition. It appears under Devices in the sidebar: copy photos and videos off it, copy files to and from apps that share documents, and rename, create folders, or delete where iOS allows.
- Messages, Transfers, and Operation History now sit together in the toolbar. Messages and Transfers show a count, and Transfers flags a job waiting for your answer.
- The status bar shows the free space on the listed disk, including SMB shares, and no longer reports a selected folder as "Zero KB".
- Settings ▸ Privacy can ask macOS for Files & Folders and Local Network access, so MFCommander appears in those System Settings lists, and shows whether Full Disk Access is on.
- Opens S3 folders holding more than 1,000 objects one page at a time, with First and Next. Sorting and filtering apply to the page shown.
- Stays responsive with very large data: sorting huge folders, finding duplicates, scanning disks with millions of folders, and refreshing clusters with thousands of Pods.
- Explains Kubernetes permission problems at once. View Logs and the Logs tab no longer open an empty viewer after a long wait, and a related resource you cannot read no longer takes you away from the one you were viewing.
- Makes Kubernetes more dependable on busy clusters. Events and other slow lists now finish loading instead of being restarted by automatic refresh, and a failed log stream is reported in the viewer and in Messages rather than ending as though the Pod had stopped logging.

- Eject removable drives directly from the sidebar.
- See which iCloud files are stored only in the cloud, and click their cloud icon to download them. The icon disappears once the file is available locally.
- Filter Kubernetes resources by status using choices from the loaded list. Status and namespace filters now sit together above column headers that match file listings.
- Refreshing a Kubernetes resource keeps your selected detail tab and preserves your position when its contents are unchanged.
- Copy selected Message Log rows with right-click Copy or ⌘C.
- Move to Trash from a file’s context menu now asks for confirmation. Failed remote connection checks stop file transfers instead of bypassing overwrite checks.
- Kubernetes read-only mode also blocks pending changes when enabled while an action is in progress.
- Improved cloud connection reliability when several operations need to renew a sign-in at once.
- Reduced resource use during Kubernetes monitoring and after closing remote media viewers. Long-running remote log viewing retains recent history within a fixed disk limit; large file searches show the first 20,000 results while continuing to count all matches.
- Removed the CPU and memory debugging display from the toolbar.

- Browse Kubernetes custom resources directly from the sidebar, grouped by API, with the columns defined by your cluster.
- Follow more connections between workloads, networking, storage, permissions, and configuration, including verified Argo CD and Flux managers.
- Diagnose Kubernetes health more easily with clearer container summaries, condition timelines, and events, plus improved usage charts with current, average, and peak readings.
- Keep large-cluster overviews and resource counts working reliably while reducing memory use during refreshes.
- Focus on active ReplicaSets by default, with an option to show inactive ones and sidebar counts that match your selection.
- Follow live logs more reliably, read multiline fields in compact view, and see log controls clearly in every theme.
- Revisit application messages in the new Message Log, with links back to their source.

- Keep Pod CPU and memory readings visible between refreshes.
- Show CPU and memory usage bars in the Kubernetes Nodes list.
- Give PV and PVC details the same layout as workloads, with links to related volumes, claims, Pods, and workloads. Browse PVC files directly from details.
- Hide the namespace selector in resource details and keep the tab divider full width beside Browse files.
- Keep connection test results readable in Settings.

- Select all text in the file viewer with Cmd-A, then copy it with Cmd-C. Also fixes garbled characters when copying some text files.
- Reveal Disk Usage and Duplicate Files results in the other pane from the right-click menu, including the Largest Files list.
- Report a bug or request a feature directly from the Help menu.
MFCommander 0.2.9
MFCommander 0.2.9
- Fixes the running total in Disk Usage overstating how much space a scan has found. The line above the table added up the sizes files declare rather than the space they actually occupy, so a scan could report several times the capacity of the disk it was scanning — 9.92 TB on a 1 TB drive — while the table and the status bar below it showed the correct figure. All three now report the same total. Only that one line was affected; no scan result, size, or deletion was ever based on the wrong number.
