DrawSplatTM v3.1.19 Release Notes
Released: 2026-08-11
Summary
DrawSplatTM v3.1.19 introduces AudioSplat as a production browser-based
multitrack audio recorder and editor, adds optional Google Drive export and
sharing, and makes AudioSplat available as its own self-host ZIP.
Highlights
- Records microphones without requesting permission until the user presses
Record, and records shared tab/device audio where the browser provides it. - Creates a new track automatically for successive takes and supports dragging
clips between tracks. - Provides waveform range selection, split, trim, duplicate, delete, zoom,
undo/redo, mute, solo, volume, pan, and multitrack mix playback. - Applies Amplify, Adjustable Fade, Bass/Treble, Echo, Fade In/Out, Noise Gate,
Noise Reduction, Normalize, Reverb, Silence, and Truncate Silence to visual
selections. - Imports common browser-decodable audio formats and exports MP3 and WAV plus
Ogg/Opus, WebM/Opus, and M4A/AAC where browser support permits. - Keeps tab-isolated projects in IndexedDB and supports portable project files.
- Saves exported mixes to Google Drive through Google Identity Services using
the narrow non-sensitivedrive.filescope. - Optionally creates an Anyone-with-the-link permission, share URL, and Drive
preview iframe while handling Workspace public-sharing restrictions safely. - Adds an independent
audiosplat-selfhost-v3.1.19.zipdownload and includes
AudioSplat in the DrawSplat Tools package.
Self-hosting note
AudioSplat recording and editing work from any HTTPS static host without an
account or backend. Google Drive saving from another domain requires that
operator's own Google OAuth Web client, authorized JavaScript origin, enabled
Drive API, declared drive.file scope, and a rebuilt AudioSplat bundle.
Verification
- 6 AudioSplat unit tests passed.
- 15 Playwright browser tests passed, including recording, editing, format
export, tab isolation, Drive upload, opt-in sharing, and embed generation. - Production TypeScript/Vite build passed.
- Package contents and SHA-256 checksums were generated by
