v1.2.0

Install from Firefox Add-ons for a signed build with automatic updates. To load it from source, see the Development section of the README.

New

  • Default look recalibrated to blend with Ambient light for YouTube: natural colors, top 40% of the frame, softer gradient, 60% brightness.
  • Color picking (Natural / Vivid) and Remove black bars (letterbox detection).
  • Import page that converts an Ambient light for YouTube settings export, or loads an Ambient Toolbar settings file. It opens in a tab because Firefox closes popups when a file picker opens.
  • Export settings to a file (popup → Import / Export…).
  • Recommended preset, plus a presets/ folder with the tested settings pair.

Fixed

  • Crash in Natural color mode.

Earlier versions

  • 1.1.0: redesigned settings panel with collapsible sections and an Advanced switch; Blur, Edge size, Spread fade, Color zones, Contrast, Color temperature, Toolbar shade and Text & icons settings; six presets; settings available from Add-ons → Options.
  • 1.0.0: first release. Flicker-free gradient glow and solid-color mode, color fading, pause/seek handling, theme restore, watch pages and Shorts.
