v3.3.6 β€” Beatify Finds Its Voice

Your party game just got a host.

Beatify now calls the game out loud β€” every bullseye guess, every steal, every last-second comeback β€” in one smooth, natural voice that keeps the room buzzing. And behind the curtain, we spent this release making sure nothing ever breaks the moment: the music keeps flowing, the big screen keeps up, and the night never stalls. There are two brand-new playlists in here too β€” one for everyone raised on 2000s rock radio, one for the festival-EDM crowd.

πŸŽ™οΈ A real host, on the mic

Beatify doesn't just show the answer anymore β€” it announces it. The reveal, the streaks, the bets, the lead changes, the podium β€” all of it spoken the way a real game-show host would call it:

"The answer was 1987. Marco nailed it exactly β€” Marco doubles up, and takes the lead!"

One flowing line, not a stutter of robot clips. Twenty-three big moments now have a voice, from the opening round to the final rematch. And you're in charge of how chatty it gets: pick Minimal, Standard, or Full with a single tap β€” or fine-tune every announcement yourself.

πŸŽ‰ Built to last the whole night

The best fixes are the ones you never notice. This release is full of them.

Rounds that used to freeze now heal themselves and roll right on. Host controls keep working even if you reload the page or grab a different phone. When a speaker won't cooperate, you get a clear "here's what to do" message instead of a spinner that lies to you. Players stay in the game instead of getting bounced to the start screen, everyone sees the album art β€” even guests who joined by QR code β€” and the big-screen scoreboard stays crisp and complete on any TV.

In short: press play, and the party runs itself.

🎸 Two brand-new playlists

Divorced Dad Rock β€” 107 tracks of glorious post-grunge, nu-metal and 2000s radio rock: Nickelback, Creed, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, Audioslave, Papa Roach, System of a Down and the whole leather-jacket lineup.

EDM Anthems β€” 126 festival-sized drops from the golden era of mainstream dance: Avicii, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Swedish House Mafia, Marshmello, Kygo and TiΓ«sto, spanning 2009 to 2024.

Beatify had no home for either of these. Now it has both β€” and both came straight from the in-app playlist requests. Keep them coming.

πŸ“ˆ More music β€” and the right years

Harder Styles, 90s Hits and Deutschpop Klassiker all got bigger and better. And here's a quiet but important one: we audited every single song in the library and corrected 274 wrong release years. In a game where you're guessing the year, getting the year right is the whole point.

πŸ”§ Also under the hood

Dozens of smaller refinements round out the release. Broken streaming links across several playlists were tracked down and repaired, logs are cleaner, a handful of missing translations were filled in across all five languages, and automated test coverage was tightened so the big fixes above stay fixed. The setup notes now also make it clear that Beatify needs a premium streaming subscription β€” free tiers can't play songs on demand.

πŸ™ Thank you

A huge thank-you to @nixbuongiorno, who spotted a wrong release year in real play and reported it β€” one message that kicked off the full 274-song audit. And to everyone filling the playlist-request inbox: Divorced Dad Rock and EDM Anthems are yours.
