v4.1.0 — Rock Solid, New Look (Now on Amazon Music)

Version 4.0 gave you a whole new way to play. Version 4.1 gives the whole show a new look, makes the room around it rock solid, and adds a fifth place to pull your music from: Amazon Music. This is the release that makes game night look good and stay dependable.

🎬 A whole new look

Every reveal has been rebuilt. On your phone, the moment the song drops becomes a Spotlight Stage — the album art glows behind frosted-glass panels, the year duel reads as two facing tickets (your guess in pink, the truth in cyan) and points land in neon green. The standings now tell the round's story in one row each: your rank and which way it moved, the year you guessed and how close it was, the night's badges (🔥 streak, 🥷 steal, 🎲 bet) and your new total. On the TV, the end screen is a proper Podium Stage finale with a crowned winner, the full ranking, a highlights reel of the night's best calls and a row of fun awards, while the in-game reveal announces the answer in a big broadcast lower-third — now including who won the guess-the-artist round and how the room's close calls were voted.

🎵 Amazon Music joins the lineup

Beatify now plays through Amazon Music as well, via your Alexa-connected speakers — a fifth music service alongside Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and YouTube Music. Pick it in the setup wizard like any other provider and your Amazon library is in the game.

🇫🇮 New flagship playlist: Finnish Schlager Classics

The Finnish community asked, loudly — so this release ships Finnish Schlager Classics, a 293-song journey through Finland's beloved iskelmä. It runs from Olavi Virta's 1949 tango ballads through Katri Helena, Eino Grön and Tapio Rautavaara all the way to today's hits — 1949 to 2026 in a single list. Every track carries a verified original release year (researched from Finnish music sources, not guessed), so it plays clean in year-guess mode from the very first round. We took several overlapping Finnish requests from the in-app funnel and consolidated them into one definitive, deduplicated set.

🛡️ A room that stays put

A long pass over every place a screen could drift, drop, or get stuck. Phones and the TV dashboard now keep the screen awake while you play, with a tap-to-enable nudge on passive displays. The TV always comes back on its own after a network hiccup or a router reboot instead of leaving you to walk over and reload the tab. A failed sign-in stops and lets you try again instead of looping, and the leftover connections and timers that used to linger after a screen woke or a game closed are cleaned up so the next round starts fresh.

🎧 Apple Music plays more of your library

If a track lived only in your country's Apple Music store, Beatify could quietly skip it. It's now storefront-aware, so those region-specific songs play instead of being dropped — and a stricter playback check means a round always confirms the right track started, not just any change.

✍️ Title & Artist mode, sharpened

The big one: starting a Name the Song game now actually gives you the title and artist text fields, instead of quietly falling back to the year input once the game began. On top of that, the end-of-game share card reads your rounds correctly instead of marking everything missed, a skipped guess no longer costs a movie-bonus you'd already earned, streak awards count straight, very long guesses are handled fairly, and the host's reveal buttons are now matched in size.

🪩 Party lights behave

Subtle lighting stays subtle — flash and strobe effects now return your lights to the gentle brightness you set instead of jumping to full, and a configured WLED "end of game" preset actually fires when the game wraps.

🎶 More to play

Alongside the Finnish flagship: a brand-new Swiss-German Mundart playlist requested through the in-app funnel, plus more depth in the Dutch-language and 70s/80s/90s classics sets.

🔧 Under the Hood

A focused security pass locked down the album-art and playlist endpoints and moved the access token out of a browser-readable cookie, the game engine's core was split into focused, type-checked pieces, and asset caching now fingerprints itself so a new build can never serve you stale CSS or JavaScript again.

🙏 Thank you

To everyone who reported a screen that wouldn't stay awake, a TV that gave up, or a login that looped — those reports shaped this entire release. Thanks to @Mar1usW3 for the fix that makes a new game follow your browser's language, and to the Finnish community for the iskelmä lists that became Finnish Schlager Classics. The new look came straight out of real play sessions, so to everyone testing each build on real devices and telling us what breaks: most of what's here started as something you noticed.
