This release upgrades the workflow and delivery contract, not merely the provider list.

• Added College Board AP course and Course and Exam Description discovery.
• Added explicit International / UK market routing for AQA, Pearson Edexcel, and CAIE, with AS handled as its own level.
• Made the first-turn capability and project preflight a hard gate before retrieval, analysis, writing, or visual production.
• Bound syllabus analysis to independently assessable atomic requirements with traceable handbook locations.
• Required a per-topic visual decision; text-only boxes no longer count as explanatory diagrams.
• Added rebuild/import/approval ordering, render snapshots, item-level review ledgers, and PDF provenance hashes.
• Required full LLM review and repair of the current HTML before any PDF export.
• Fixed and tested distinct AQA, CAIE, Edexcel, and AP A4 cover templates.
• Added a ready-to-install v0.6.0 Skill package.

The four release-evidence records are independently final-ready. No handbook relies on another handbook's sample review.

• Updated the Analyst contract so syllabus-outline.json must record source_inputs and cross_check, and the LLM Analyst must read Markdown plus page-level evidence while Python still never splits topics from Markdown.

This framework release tightens the Skill/Python boundary and introduces the v0.5 per-topic visual_decision contract.

Highlights

• Analyst, Writer, and Reviewer are lightweight operating roles, not mandatory multi-agent orchestration.
• Python remains mechanical: source fetch, page-text extraction, JSON receipt/validation, rendering, PDF export, asset import, and packaging.
• The host LLM owns syllabus judgment, concept writing, worked examples, per-topic visual need, and visible-handbook review.
• Every topic must record visual_decision.
• Valid visual routes are text-ok, exact-svg, kroki-diagram, and external-infographic.
• text-ok requires no_visual_reason.
• Non-text routes require visual_spec and reviewed rendered assets before final delivery.
• Python draft fallbacks are marked as fallback and cannot pass as Writer-owned visual decisions.
• Legacy subject-specific runtime writing templates were removed from the active path.

Verification

• Focused v0.5 tests: 135 passed, 2 skipped.

Scope

This is a candidate framework release, not a blanket certification of every board, subject, level, or generated handbook. Output-specific validation, visual review, product review, and release evidence are still required before any handbook can be called final-ready.

This release packages the refactor from a Python auto-generator model to a Python execution framework plus LLM-operated handbook workflow.

Changed

• Python now handles mechanical execution only: official PDF download, page-text extraction, JSON receipt/validation, HTML rendering, PDF export, and package artifacts.
• The host LLM/Agent owns syllabus boundaries, exam-point selection, concept explanations, worked-example judgment, visual needs, quality inspection, and final product review.
• Added LLM handoff paths for syllabus outline, reviewed concept explanations, and visual specs so source-bound LLM decisions populate the guide plan without Python inventing content.
• Tightened visual policy: SVG can enter delivery only when svg_fit is exact and the asset is reviewed or approved. Non-exact SVG, unreviewed SVG, and legacy deterministic SVG provider output are blocked from final delivery.
• Complex visual needs stay as external infographic jobs until a callable route or reviewed imported raster asset is available.

Documentation and evidence

• Version bumped to 0.4.4 in package metadata and public version labels.
• README, Chinese README, image-model guide, project details, examples, Skill docs, release checklist, and public homepage copy now describe the LLM/Python boundary and exact-SVG policy.

v0.4.3 corrective review

Corrective release for the AQA AS Mathematics handbook quality issues found during visible product review. This release fixes repeated mathematics concept/mastery phrasing, tightens affected topic and SVG routing, adds regression coverage, and records sample evidence for this AQA AS Mathematics run. It is not a certification of all boards or all subjects. See CHANGELOG.md and docs/release-evidence/v0.4.3/manifest.json.
