v0.9.0
The first public release.
- Brain runs on your own machine or your own server. Nothing leaves it unless you connect something yourself.
- Every page is a Markdown file in a folder you choose. You can read your notes with any editor, back them up with any tool, and keep them if you ever stop using Brain.
- Write with a normal editor — headings, lists, tables, code, images, drag a page anywhere in the tree.
- Search runs over everything you have written, on your own hardware.
- Connect a mailbox and read it inside Brain, next to your notes.
- Point an AI agent at Brain over MCP and let it read and write your pages.
