• Settings now shows where your notes live on disk and which version of Brain you are running. The folder your pages are written to was the one thing the product never said out loud.
• Brain checks once a day whether a newer release exists and tells you when there is one. It sends nothing but a version number. Set BRAIN_UPDATE_CHECK=off to switch it off.
• A tab you left open while the server updated used to break quietly. It reloads itself once and carries on.
• Brain refuses to start on a notes folder it cannot write to, and says which folder and why, instead of failing later on your first save.
• Mail says when its service is not running, rather than looking like an account that failed to load. A Brain with nothing in it yet explains what the sidebar is for.
• On a phone, the page header no longer sits on the text like a solid plate.
