v1.1.4
Pre-release
Pre-release
- Fixed bug where the diffuse albedo was essentially included twice in the "Material (basis)" shading mode after processing textures (one being the diffuse texture and the other being the diffuse color from the basis functions). This would not have affected renders with the "Material (reflectivity)" shading mode, or exports for Sketchfab / Blender as those would not use the basis functions. (@michaelt919)
- Fixing the preceding bug is believed to also fix an issue on certain hardware (particularly newer Macs) where random colors would appear in the Material (basis) shading mode after reloading a project that had previously processed textures. (@michaelt919)
- Added visualization mode to view basis / palette materials. Older projects will not include the diffuse albedo colors (meaning the materials will look unusually dark) but projects created with v.1.1.4 will include these diffuse colors in the visualization. (@michaelt919)
- The diffuse colors associated with each basis material are now included in the basisFunctions.csv for visualization purposes (such as the preceding feature and possibly more visualization options in the future). (@michaelt919)
- Opening a project from the Recent Projects flyout under the File menu now asks the user to confirm that this will close the current project without saving (improving consistency with other ways of opening projects). (@denneyl2711)
- Fixed a bug where the name of the shader in the top-right corner of the screen was not refreshed when opening a project after a different project was previously open with a shader other than Image-Based. (@denneyl2711)
Known issue: Exports from this version of Kintsugi 3D Builder have a severe rendering issue in Kintsugi 3D Viewer. This will be corrected in a future release.
