Getting Started on the PS5 Store

This guide covers how to start using the PS5 Store on a PlayStation 5 console.

What's the PS5 Store?

The PS5 Store is where you can purchase games for your PlayStation 5 without using a disk.

Searching for a game

Prerequisite: Your PlayStation 5 must be on and you must be signed in to your PlayStation Network account.

1. From the home screen, use to navigate to the PlayStation Store tile.

2. Press to open the PlayStation Store.

3. From the Store home page, press to move to the Utilities options. The Search tile will be highlighted.

4. Press to open the Search page.

5. Press to activate the on-screen keyboard.

6. Enter the product name. Use to navigate the keyboard and to select a character. As you type, the Store page will begin displaying matching results.

7. Press to complete the search and close the keyboard.

8. Use to navigate to the desired product.

9. Press to open the product page.

Adding a game to wishlist

Prerequisite: Your PlayStation 5 must be on and you must be signed in to your PlayStation Network account.

1. From the home screen, use to navigate to the PlayStation Store tile. (See Figure 1.)

2. Press to open the PlayStation Store. (See Figure 2.)

3. Scroll to or search for the desired game.

4. Press to open the product page.

5. Press Right on to highlight the Wishlist button.

6. Press to add the game to wishlist. A confirmation notification will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Note: Only full games can be added to wishlist. DLC cannot be added to wishlist.

Purchasing a game

Prerequisite: Your PlayStation 5 must be on, you must be signed in to your PlayStation Network account, and you must have a payment method added to your account.

1. From the home screen, use to navigate to the PlayStation Store tile. (See Figure 1.)

2. Press to open the PlayStation Store. (See Figure 2.)

3. Scroll to or search for the desired game.

4. Press to open the product page. The purchase button will automatically be highlighted, displaying the product price.

5. Press .

• If there are multiple editions of the game, the Choose an Edition page will be displayed. Use to navigate to the desired edition, then press to continue.

6. From the Cart page, press to confirm the purchase. A confirmation notification will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Redeeming a voucher code

Prerequisite: Your PlayStation 5 must be on and you must be signed in to your PlayStation Network account.

1. From the home screen, use to navigate to the PlayStation Store tile. (See Figure 1.)

2. Press to open the PlayStation Store. (See Figure 2.)

3. From the Store home page, press to move to the Utilities options.

4. Use to navigate to the More tile.

5. Press to open the More menu.

6. Use to navigate to the Redeem Code menu option.

7. Press to open the Redemption page.

8. Press to activate the on-screen keyboard.

9. Enter the 12-character voucher code. Use to navigate the keyboard and to select a character.

Note: The voucher code will always consist of letters and numbers. Valid voucher codes do not contain special characters.

10. Press to complete the entry.

11. Use to navigate to the Redeem button.

12. Press to redeem the voucher code. A confirmation page will be displayed, indicating all downloadable items included in your voucher.

Installing a game from your library

Prerequisite: Your PlayStation 5 must be on and you must be signed in to your PlayStation Network account.

1. From the home screen, use to navigate to the Game Library tile.

2. Press to open your library.

3. Use to navigate to Your Collection.

4. Press to open your collection of games.

5. Use to navigate to the game to be installed.

6. Press to open the product page. The Download button will be highlighted.

7. Depending on the game, perform one of the following:

• If the game has one version and no add-on content, press to begin the download.

• If the game has multiple versions, press to open the version selection page. Use to highlight the desired version. Press to open the product page. Press to begin the download.

8. The download will begin, and a confirmation notification will displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen. The game automatically installs after the download is complete.
