v0.5.55
Two fixes from a Linux session
The release guard could miss a live run entirely (#314). conclave_runs and in_use identify runs by matching the command line out of ps, and neither passed -ww. procps cuts command at $COLUMNS whenever that variable is exported — including when stdout is a pipe — so a run whose command line is longer than the terminal is wide lost its tail, the match failed, and the guard reported no run.
That is a fail-open, and this guard is the one thing standing between --prune-install and a version directory a live session is executing out of. -ww now, on all five call sites; BSD ps takes the same flag, so there is no branch on platform. Measured on procps-ng: 120 columns with COLUMNS=120 exported, 1157 with -ww.
The test for it probes the platform rather than assuming it, and skips out loud with the width it measured when the local ps cannot truncate — which is what happened on macOS, where the mutation passes and the fix cannot be proven. It is verified on Linux in CI, where the probe runs and observes the cut.
Node's type-stripping warning is gone (#313). Every invocation printed ExperimentalWarning: Type Stripping is an experimental feature on stderr, ahead of conclave's own output, and anything capturing stderr picked it up as noise. Now suppressed wherever the project starts Node itself — the launcher, the shebang, and both self-spawn sites, which go through a helper that forwards the parent's execArgv, since children inherit none of it.
The two interact, and the order mattered: the second lengthens every command line by 40 characters, which is what made the first reachable. It was found that way.
Dependencies
Six GitHub Actions moved a major version each, and @types/node a minor. Four of the six are exercised by the checks on every pull request; download-artifact and action-gh-release appear only in the release workflow, so this release is their first real run.
