Foundry Local CLI 0.11.0 (Preview)

Public preview update for the Foundry Local CLI.

Preview. This is an early CLI build. Expect rough edges, missing polish, and changes between releases. Please file issues with [cli] in the title and include foundry report output when possible.

What's New

Updated Foundry Local SDK

This build updates the Foundry Local SDK and Runtime packages to 2.1.0, ONNX Runtime to 1.30.0 and ONNX Runtime GenAI 0.17.1.

⚡ Improvements

• Stateful chat sessions: Conversations retain native session state and submit only the newly added turn after initial setup. Clearing a conversation resets native state; failed or canceled turns are removed rather than automatically replayed.
• More accurate speech transcription: Live transcription replaces interim hypotheses instead of appending duplicate text, ignores repeated final callbacks, preserves distinct repeated speech, and uses the authoritative final transcript when supplied by the SDK.
• Chat and audio inference now use the SDK’s typed session APIs
• Improved model unload and shutdown
• More detailed troubleshooting guidance and dependency information

Coming from the older Foundry Local CLI?

The earlier service-based CLI has been replaced. Common commands map roughly as follows:
