Account type change request — Seller ID 95397170 (Individual → Company)

Hi Edge Extensions team,

We registered our Microsoft Edge developer account as an Individual account, but we publish extensions on behalf of our company and need it changed to a Company (organization) account.

Please change the account type from Individual → Company for Seller ID: 95397170.

We also have a duplicate Individual account, Seller ID: 95396880, left over from an earlier failed attempt — please delete or deactivate it if possible.

I understand this isn't changeable in the Partner Center UI, so I'm following the precedent of resolved requests like #171 and #561. Happy to provide the account-owner email, publisher name, and any verification details privately. Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out and for providing the details regarding your developer accounts.

Regarding your request to change the account type from Individual to Company for Seller ID: 95397170, please note that the account type selected during enrollment cannot be changed after the account has been created. The Microsoft Edge Developer Program currently does not support converting an existing Individual account to a Company account while retaining the same Seller ID.

To publish extensions under your organization name, we recommend the following:

• Register a new developer account and select the Company account type during enrollment.
• Complete the company verification process using your organization's legal business information and supporting documentation, if required.
• Once the Company account has been successfully verified, submit and manage your extensions through that account.

Please note: Creating a new Company account will result in a new enrollment and a new Seller ID. Existing Seller IDs cannot be transferred between account types.

Hello, I have attempted to make 3 accounts and all route to individual accounts despite my choosing of the Company account option each time. I believe this is a bug on microsoft’s end.
