Are code apps covered by the per app plan (App Pass)?

We currently license several canvas app users with Power Apps per app plans (App Passes, 5 $/user/app/month). We plan to rebuild some of these canvas apps as code apps.

Will an App Pass assigned to a user for a given app also cover that same app once it's rebuilt as a code app, same behavior as canvas?

If not, what's the minimum license that works for code apps.

P.S. I'm aware of the earlier discussions on this (#91, #283), but since the current Microsoft Learn doc only mentions "Power Apps Premium license", I'd like to confirm whether anything has changed since then.

End users can run code apps if they have one of the following:

• A Power Apps premium license
• Pay‑as‑you‑go enabled
• An App Pass
• Auto‑claim enabled, which automatically assigns a premium license to the user if one is available in the tenant
