vmmemCmSnaphost process?

Hi, I just restarted my Windows 11 laptop after the 2024-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5043145) and the pc is very slow and when I try to boot my Ubuntu 22.04 WSL machine I get this error:

The operation timed out because a response was not received from the virtual machine or container.
Error code: Wsl/Service/CreateInstance/CreateVm/HCS_E_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT

Checking the task manager, there is this VmmemCmSnapshot process running utilizing an average of 11% CPU.
Checking the details, the username of this process is the same as vmwp.exe.

This is the first time I've seen this process running, and googling it I couldn't find any results.

Does anyone know what this is all about?
How can I get the WSL machine running again? (I need it to work)

Fixes by uninstalling Windows update KB5043145
