Playwright does not support chromium on mac12 - arm-64

Hi Team,

I am facing issue when trying to run Playwright on Mac OS 12.3.1

Error message - Playwright does not support chromium on mac12 - arm-64

As per this - #7624 - tried updating playwright but didn't help.

OS version - 12.3.1
apple m1 max

Can someone help with this ? Is there anything else has to be done to get Playwright working on 12.3.1

I believe this should work out of the box assuming you are running a recent version of PW.

What does your node setup look like? (Are you installing into global namespace, or do you have a project with a package.json you are working with? What version of Playwright do you end up running? npm ls playwright or npm ls @playwright/test should give you this info.)

From a fresh directory, give the following a try:

$ mkdir repro
$ cd repro
$ npm init -y
$ npm i playwright@latest
$ npx playwright cr https://example.com

What do you get when you do that?
