[BUG] Playwright cli skills out of date warning when line ending differ

What's going on?

I get this banner when I'm trying to run playwright-cli skills, it seems only the line endings of the files differ before/after I run playwright-cli install --skills

Can it be updated so it doesn't matter what the line endings of the skills files are, as long as the content matches?

Thanks for the report — confirmed.

Root cause: The outdated-skill banner comes from @playwright/cli (skillCheck.js), which compares installed .claude/skills/playwright-cli/SKILL.md to the bundled skill with a raw string equality check. CRLF vs LF alone makes that fail on Windows even when the content matches.

Fix: Normalize line endings before comparing. Proposed change is in microsoft/playwright-cli (not the Playwright monorepo), with a regression test that rewrites the installed skill to CRLF and asserts no warning.
