Now that TypeScript 7.0 (written in Go) has been released, what will happen to typescript-go?

TypeScript 7.0 has been released. This version has been rewritten in Go. It can be installed with the NPM package typescript. It ships the executable tsc.

Now that TypeScript 7.0 (written in Go) has been released, what will happen of this repo typescript-go and its executable tsgo? Will this repo continue to be used as a preview version of TypeScript? Or should we consider this repository as deprecated/legacy and migrate any reverse dependencies to tsc rather than tsgo?

tsgo as a name is effectively gone. This codebase will migrate back into the microsoft/TypeScript repo in the coming weeks so that we can return to having a unified issue backlog.

What about the vscode extension? Will that be deprecated and integrated in vscode like how it used to be too?

No. It'll just be bundled in the near future, like how the JS debugger is
