I'm currently using the LayoutlmV3 model and have a query regarding the licensing terms of this project. As per my understanding, according to the license details in the master's readme, LayoutLmV3 is not permitted for commercial applications. However, I noticed that in the readme for the commit 2239a415aacfaff3af37c7d43995a4f0a9c41c04, the project is under an MIT license. Could this indicate that this specific version of the project may be used for commercial purposes? I appreciate your time and assistance.

The LICENSE file is MIT, but the README in the LayoutLMv3 sub-folder links to the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license (which itself is not included in the sub-folder).

Can Microsoft clarify its licensing of this subfolder's contents?

I think CC protect the documents and the images ,not code.

I've noticed people using the LiLT model with the LayoutLMv3 processor for commercial projects. Is this combination legally permissible for commercial use? Any insights on licensing or restrictions would be helpful.

Seeing how much data has been stolen by Microsoft and others to build these models any restrictive license should be fair to be ignored.
