I am trying to use Gemini 2.5 Pro (Preview) in the GitHub Copilot chat to ask some questions about the codebase. This model is enabled in my GitHub account settings, but I still receive the following error:

Sure, I've tried restarting several times, logging out and back in, reinstalling the extension, reinstalling VS Code and disabling all Copilot settings but nothing helped. I also confirmed that the models are enabled in the settings. The same error appears for o4-mini, Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. After each restart, it prompts me to enable the model again, then throws the same error.

Thanks for the details. Can you try to enable them here https://github.com/settings/copilot/features? Your VS code may be stuck in a weird state that I'm unfamiliar with.

Sure, but they were already enabled. I also tried disabling and re-enabling them, but it didn’t help.
