Add a custom sound for when Agent mode is waiting for user feedback or finished a task

Testing out the new agent mode in Insiders and found a missing feature.

Ideally we could use different sounds for different types of states.

And and opt-in to some type of visual notification would be good as well. The current task bar blinking is too subtle some times.

I upvote this. even better a system notification at least on MacOS.
waiting for edits is painful, because you never know if it will be 5 seconds or 50, due to human nature. I would rather watch a youtube video and see a notification whenever it finished

Nice, yeah a system notification would be nice as well. Exactly the pain point you describe is why I want this!

We have a sound for when the response comes in already, but there's a bug where it doesn't play unless in screen reader optimized mode, tracked here microsoft/vscode#245595.
