User Experience

Users with motor disabilities who cannot perform sustained drag operations (due to tremor, limited dexterity, or use of alternative input devices) are blocked from using the feature entirely.

Repro Steps

Open VS code > Install the DocumentDB for VS Code Extension and open it > Add new Connections > Expand one of the databases > Expand a collection within that database > Double-click the Documents item > Table Column headers > Observe the issue: Table column width can only be adjusted using drag-and-drop; no single pointer alternative is provided

Actual Result

Table column headers can only be resized using a drag gesture. No alternative method is provided to perform the same action using a single pointer or without dragging.

Expected Result

Users should be able to resize table columns using a single-pointer operation or another non-drag alternative that provides equivalent functionality

How to Fix

Provide a single-pointer alternative: move up/down buttons, a context menu with “Move to…” options, or a form-based reorder mechanism. Keyboard arrow key support is also beneficial.
