Export and Save Github Copilot Chat History in VS Code

I would like to be able to export and also automatically save my Copilot Chat history in Visual Studio Code, similar to how it is possible on the GitHub website.
Currently, there is no built-in option or API to save or export the chat conversation from the Copilot Chat panel in VS Code.
This feature would be very helpful for documentation, learning, and tracking the advice or code snippets provided during development.

Could you please consider adding an option to export, save, or automatically back up the Copilot Chat history in VS Code?

Your chats are saved and can be accessed from the "Show chats" dialog. I don't believe we should automatically export them to disk. But if you really want them, you can find them in your vscode user data folder.

Export: Yes Automatically Save: No

I've tried this but when I import the chat to see it, it does not render properly:

Please restart VScode. It should go back to normal. I have an open issue related to this bug.
