Cannot trigger Inline Suggestions

• VS Code Version: 1.109.2
• OS Version: Windows 11 24H2

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Installed GitHub Pull Request and GitHub Repository extensions
2. Created new workspace that connects to GitHub
3. Went back to previous workspace immediately after (where inline suggestions worked previously)
4. Typed "SELECT" in sql file in editor
5. No inline suggestions (ghost text) appeared anymore

Robyn Cabagnot (@RogueVV) Try snoozing AI suggestions and see if the issue goes away while snooze is active. I'm having the exact same issue and I have noticed that it seems to be (as usual) AI features breaking classic (non-AI) functionality. I notice this frequently because I use snippets a lot and AI completions (next edit suggestions) always seem to take UX priority, forcing me to manually trigger the popup with (cmd|ctrl)+space (Mac|Windows).

If it takes a thousand years to get a fix for this, you can configure keyboard shortcuts to enable/disable snooze on demand:

Change f14 to whatever key combo you want. I have two shortcuts enabled because when I'm editing markdown or YAML I want the snooze to configure by default to 2 hours, whereas for code I generally only want a shorter (30 mins) snooze period. Pressing the same key again toggles it off, so it's super easy to disable or reset as needed.
