Deleting a session doesn't seem to do anything

1. From VS Code, try to delete a session

2. Nothing seems to happen
3. When I clicked back into the sessions view a few moments later it did remove the deleted session

I can reproduce and it seems that we miss an event from when the session is deleted to update the view. Matt Bierner (@mjbvz) maybe a regression from the controller based API? This is for local chat though.
