Brief description of your issue
Similarly as in bug #236191, if you have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2025.001.20432 installed from the Creative Cloud Desktop management app (as of 2025-03-31T02:33Z), Winget recognizes it as Adobe.Acrobat.Reader.64-bit version 25.001.20432 and tries to update it to 25.001.20435 unsuccessfully.
Steps to reproduce
- Install Adobe Acrobat Pro from the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app with a paid subscription.
- Run
winget update --all.
Actual behavior
The following warning popup is shown:
The Installer requires that you uninstall Adobe Acrobat
(64-bit) before continuing this installation, in order to
avoid application conflict. Please follow these steps:
1) Cancel this Installer
2) Go to the "Programs and Features" Control Panel,
located at
Start: Settings: Control Panel
3) Highlight the product Adobe Acrobat (64-bit)
and click Remove
4) Relaunch this Installer
And the following message is shown in the terminal: Installer failed with exit code: 1603.
Expected behavior
Winget shouldn't try to replace Acrobat Pro with Acrobat Reader, even if a newer version is available.
