Changes

  • Compatibility with GreynirEngine (reynir) 3.7–3.9; the error-detecting grammar failed to load with reynir 3.9.0
  • Now requires Icegrams 2.0, which no longer bundles the trigram model. The model must be downloaded once after installation with python -m icegrams.download; if it is missing, ModelNotFoundError is raised on first use (and the correct command prints instructions and exits with status 1)
  • Spelling correction thresholds are calibrated to the size of the loaded trigram model, instead of being fixed to the 2019 model. With the larger 2026 model, some rare-word warnings and corrections change, since several informal forms (e.g. inná, útá) are now frequent in the corpus
  • New annotation P_NT_LoEftirNlMeðAndlagi: a postposed adjective or participle that does not agree in case with its noun phrase (félaga tengdum rekstri → tengdra)
  • ModelNotFoundError is exported from the package
  • Minimum dependency versions are now reynir>=3.7.0 and icegrams>=2.0.0
  • Documentation updated for Python 3.11+ and PyPy 3.11+; Python 3.14 classifier added
