Initial public release

NavisHelper is a Navisworks Manage plugin and local MCP server for BIM coordination workflows.

Included

  • Plugin builds for Navisworks Manage 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.
  • 100 MCP tools for model search and selection, viewpoints, properties, sets, and Clash Detective workflows.
  • Per-user installer for the Navisworks bundle, MCP server, and MCP configurator.
  • Project and third-party license/notice files.

Installation

Download and run NavisHelperSetup-2.8.9.0.exe with Navisworks closed.

The installer is not Authenticode-signed. Windows SmartScreen or reputation warnings may appear.

The MCP server package is framework-dependent and requires the .NET 9 runtime. The plugin requires Autodesk Navisworks Manage;
Navisworks Simulate is not declared as supported.

Validation

  • 998 automated tests passed.
  • Release2024–Release2027 build matrix passed.
  • Distribution, ZIP installation, reinstall, legacy upgrade, and EXE stale-bundle upgrade checks passed.
  • Live smoke passed in Navisworks Manage 2026 and 2027, including host-provided Autodesk COM Interop loading.
  • Navisworks 2024 and 2025 were build-validated only because those runtimes were not installed on the release workstation.

Current limitations

  • The plugin UI is currently Russian-only.
  • The optional external OpenRouter path requires a user-provided OPEN_ROUTER_NW_KEY; the shipped installer does not include
    ColorService.exe, so AIColorObjects uses its local fallback by default.
  • No public Navisworks test model is included.
