v1.2.2

v1.2.2
aca083c

Fixed

  • Shopkeepers who can cast — the Temple, and the town and city Alchemist,
Druidic, Arcane and Tinkering stores — now show their spells on the Spells
tab. Their spells were copied with a link to the wrong feature, so the sheet
hid them and casting through Divine Aid or Spellcasting left a stray copy on
the merchant. Merchants already in a world keep the old links; drag a fresh
    one from the compendium. (#36)

v1.2.1
c61938f

Fixed

  • Using the Consume activity on ale, wine, bread or cheese from the character
sheet now counts towards Simple Nutrition 5e, the same as consuming it through
Simple Nutrition's own dialog. New world setting Eating from the sheet
    counts
    , on by default (#19)

v1.2.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Aug 16:37

Added

  • Buying an animal puts a copy of its SRD stat block in the world, ready to
    drop on a scene (#15)
  • Buying a meal offers to eat it on the spot (#14)

Changed

  • Shopkeeper tokens are neutral rather than friendly; a shop recipe can set
    disposition to override (#16)

Fixed

  • Broken icons on the spell-component gems (#13)

v1.1.0

v1.1.0

Shops now keep their hours, every shopkeeper has a stat block, and there is a fix for the encumbrance bar those stat blocks made visible.

Shops open and close on the world clock

Every merchant always shipped with trading hours — the jeweler keeps 09:00–17:00, the fence trades 20:00 to 04:00 — but nothing evaluated them, so every shop stood open around the clock. Item Piles can only do this through Simple Calendar, which has no v14 build, so the module now drives Item Piles' own open/closed status from Foundry's world time directly. Any calendar that advances world time works. The fence reads closed at noon and open at 21:00.

On by default: closing a shop is reversible, so unlike restocking it needs no opt-in. Only the active GM writes, and turning the setting off hands every shop back to always-open.

Shopkeepers with SRD 5.2 stat blocks

Merchants were empty tills — a bare NPC with 10 hp, no abilities and CR 0. Each shop and size now carries a stat block from the SRD 5.2 actors, escalating with the settlement: a village smith is a Commoner, a city smith a Warrior Veteran, a city arcane shop a Mage. Shopkeeper gear is tagged so it never reaches the shelf and restocking never treats it as merchandise. Every gear item points back at the SRD document it came from; nothing references a paid book module.

Stock is untouched: 51 merchants, 1351 lines, same prices and purses.

New setting: Shop stock is not carried

A shop's wares sit in the shopkeeper's inventory because that is what Item Piles reads as the shop, so dnd5e counts the whole shelf against them — 14,775 lb for a city stable. With the Encumbrance variant rule on, every shopkeeper was permanently over capacity. This opt-in setting cancels the stock's weight (coin purse included) so only the shopkeeper's own kit counts. Off by default; nothing changes unless you run encumbrance.

Smaller changes

  • The drink goods kind is renamed food-drink, which is what it always contained. Merchants already in a world are unaffected.
  • The generator no longer indexes the SRD equipment pack's folders, so a future stock line named "Potions" cannot silently resolve to a folder.
  • README: accurate Merchant Goods counts, status badges, and build instructions moved to CONTRIBUTING.
  • Releases are now gated on the CI validation, and main carries a -dev version between releases.
