OpenMausBot 0.1.113
This release lets you buy MausBot Cloud without leaving the app, brings your skills and tools in from other AI apps when you first set up, and makes your bots browse in a real Chrome so websites flag them much less. Saved logins now work across a whole site, the bots' browsers stay away from your computer and network, and turning off analytics stops everything. Update to get them. There is nothing else to do.
New
- Buy MausBot Cloud in the app. Add a Cloud opens one window. You pick a plan, sign in with a code we email you, and pay in your browser. The app then sets up your Cloud and opens it when it's ready, in about two minutes. If you restart the app in the middle, it picks up the open checkout. (#2941)
- MausBot Cloud in the welcome tour. New installs see what a Cloud does once, and can start one right there or skip it. (#2941)
- Bring your skills and tools from other AI apps. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude Desktop or Gemini may already have skills or MCP servers on this computer. If so, the welcome tour offers to bring them in with one click.
- All your bots share the skills.
- Tools arrive switched off, for you to turn on.
- Logins and history are never read. (#2946)
- A new Cloud starts with your stuff. The first thing a new Cloud offers is to bring over your bots and chats from this computer. Then you connect your AI, files and apps. (#2940)
- What Cloud Pro adds, once. After this update, each computer shows a one-time note about Cloud Pro. If you already pay, it takes you to your plan instead. (#2936, #2945)
- Bots browse in a real Chrome. Bots now use your installed Google Chrome, in their own separate profile, and report themselves exactly as that Chrome.
- On Apple silicon Macs without Google Chrome, they download a standard Chrome.
- Sites like Reddit, Indeed and Google search flag them much less. Public bot-check pages now pass 3 of 4, where none passed before.
- Intel Macs and Windows PCs without Google Chrome keep the previous browser for now. (#2925)
- Saved logins fill across their whole site. A login saved for example.com now fills on accounts.example.com and www.example.com. For shared domains, tick "Only on this exact address". (#2929)
- Signing in takes one step. Bots fill and submit a login in one go, including pages that ask for the username, then the password, then a code. If the site refuses it or shows a CAPTCHA, the bot clears what it filled and tells you what the site said. (#2929)
- 1Password access per vault. In Settings → Logins, choose which bots can use each vault. All bots can by default. (#2929)
Security
- Bots' browsers stay off your computer and network. A page a bot opens can no longer reach OpenMausBot itself, other apps on your computer, devices on your home network, or cloud metadata addresses. (#2930)
- Web pages no longer get owner access to OpenMausBot running on the same computer, and the phone link on the desktop needs a token. (#2930)
- Self-hosted servers: a browser on the same machine now signs in once with the link that
openmausbot serveprints. It is no longer trusted automatically. (#2930) - A bot can't read a password it just filled. Running scripts on that page is refused for a minute after the fill. (#2929)
- The HighLevel connection stays on the computer that connected it. It is no longer copied into backups or Cloud moves, where a second copy could sign it out. (#2935)
- Files never shares an AI app's own folders (
.claude,.codex,.gemini,.grok), even inside a folder you share. (#2935)
Privacy
-
Turning off usage analytics now stops all of it.
-
New usage counts show us which features people use:
- which kinds of keys are set, never the keys themselves;
- whether bots use cloud computers;
- daily counts of bots, rooms and connected apps.
No names, keys or message content are ever sent, and the switch in Settings still turns it all off. Every event is listed in the docs. (#2931)
Behind the scenes
- A new built-in browser on OpenMausBot's own Chrome driver. The driver never sends the command bot checks look for, and its tabs, tools and control are modelled on T3 Code. It is off by default. (#2928, #2939, #2949)
- Tests now pass on Windows line endings. (#2934)
Still on an older version?
OpenMausBot updates itself. If it doesn't, download the installer for your system below and install it over the old one. Your bots and chats are kept. MausBot Clouds move to this version on their own.
