OpenMausBot 0.1.115
This release keeps your routines running on their own, removes OpenMausBot's own permission prompts, and gets every bot on a new MausBot Cloud working from the first minute. Update to get them. There is nothing else to do.
New
- Automations: set things up by just saying them. Tell a bot "every weekday at 9, send me a summary of my inbox" or "whenever our sales form sends a lead, draft a follow-up". It sets it up on the spot and shows it in the chat with Pause, Edit and Undo, with nothing to confirm.
- Automations in the bottom menu lists them all as plain sentences, each with whether it's working, when it last ran and when it runs next.
- Anything that needs you is at the top, with the button that fixes it. A calendar view shows the week ahead.
- + New lets you describe what should happen in your own words.
- Routines and webhooks are now both automations. Every existing one keeps working, with the same schedule, address and secret. (#3024)
- Routines recover by themselves.
- A run that hits a temporary problem (a stalled engine, a restart, a rate limit or a busy bot) now waits or tries once more on its own, instead of failing.
- When only you can fix it (an engine signed out, out of credit, or at a usage limit), you get one plain notice that says what to do, not a failure on every run. If the engine says when a usage limit resets, the run is moved to just after the reset.
- Each routine shows how many of this week's runs went fine. (#3015)
- No more permission prompts from OpenMausBot itself. When a bot changes its profile, a teammate's model, the team setup or the team's memory, the change now just happens. A one-line note in the chat shows what changed, with Undo. New bots start at Full access. Your engines' own permission prompts are unchanged. (#3014)
- Every bot works from the first minute on a new MausBot Cloud. Bots copied from your computer, or bots whose engine isn't signed in on the Cloud, now run on the trial's included Claude credit until you connect your own Claude or ChatGPT. (#3012)
- Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish now cover the whole app. (#3018)
- A cleaner Simple mode. A simpler sidebar, a header that shows only the bot, and a four-tab bot panel. Advanced mode is unchanged. (#3008)
- Bring newer chats to My Cloud. After you move your bots to your Cloud, chats that continued on this computer can be brought over too. (#2986)
- Answer a bot's question in your own words. When a bot asks you to pick from options, there's now an Other choice where you can type your own answer. (#3002)
- Steer from your phone. A message you send while a bot is working can now be folded into the running turn from the phone apps too, not only stop it. (#3007)
- A bot can start a teammate's new thread in its own project folder, so that project's rules apply to the teammate too. (#3005)
- Cloud computers go to sleep after 10 idle minutes and wake the next time a bot needs one. Before, one stayed on until its 8-hour limit and used up your included hours. (#3025)
Fixes
- Routines at Full access on a Cloud no longer stall on a prompt. On a Cloud only you use, a Full access bot's routines run at Full access with nothing to answer. (#2987)
- When My Cloud can't be reached, the app says why. For example, when our hosting provider is restarting the server it runs on. Before, it showed "Cloud request failed". (#2996)
- Antigravity bots set to Full access no longer ask for approvals, so their routines don't stall. (#3003)
- Thread changes are saved before they're shown, and a change that can't be saved says what it was. (#3004)
- The message box stays above a table's header while you scroll a chat. (#3000)
- No empty error row after a hand-off between bots. (#2998)
- Podman is found on Windows even when it was installed while OpenMausBot was running. (#3006)
- A remote MCP server that refuses a request now says why, with the HTTP status and a hint: for example, a missing sign-in scope or a wrong URL. (#3026)
Faster
- Starting up checks each engine once, not more than a dozen times. (#3016)
- Memory capture uses fewer background calls. It saves nothing from exchanges with nothing to keep. (#3017)
- The phone apps load large lists faster. (#3009)
Behind the scenes
- Groundwork for triggers that react to events in your connected apps, such as a new email. It isn't switched on yet. (#3011)
- Test fixes. (#3013, #3023)
Still on an older version?
OpenMausBot updates itself. If it doesn't, download the installer for your system below and install it over the old one. Your bots and chats are kept. MausBot Clouds move to this version on their own.
