OpenMausBot 0.1.116

This release lets your bots act when something happens in your apps, like a new email. It also makes MausBot Cloud more dependable, and lets bots research X, companies and people with your own treg key. Update to get them. There is nothing else to do.

New

• Automations that react to your apps. Tell a bot "when I get an email from Acme, draft a reply" or "when a new message arrives in #sales, summarize it".
  • It sets it up on your connected app, filtered at the source so other mail never wakes it, and shows it in the chat with Pause, Edit and Undo.
  • If the app isn't connected yet, the bot asks you to connect it first.
  • Gmail is checked every 15 minutes; Slack, HubSpot, Stripe, GitHub and calendar changes arrive within seconds.
  • Automations shows each one as a plain sentence, with how many events were skipped if a daily limit is reached, and Reconnect if the app's connection expires. (#3039)
• Research for bots with your own treg key. Add a treg key in Settings → API keys, and bots can search and read X, look up companies, people and work emails, follow trends on Reddit, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn, check search results, and more. Calls are billed to your treg account.
  • Without a key, bots don't see these tools.
  • Each bot has a Research (treg) switch.
  • Paid MausBot Cloud plans will include an allowance. (#2566)
• Logins on both sides. In Settings → Logins on your computer, Also use on My Cloud sends a login, such as your 1Password service account, to your Cloud securely. Each login shows whether it's on This computer, My Cloud or both. (#3051)
• Open your logs folder from Settings → General → Diagnostics, with a help page on where logs live and how to share them safely. (#3058)
• Brazilian Portuguese covers the desktop app's screens more fully, including the team catalog search. (#3029, #3062)
• Japanese is complete. The last 1,765 untranslated strings are in. (#3047)
• A sharper browser panel that fills its space. (#2947)

Fixes

• 1Password works on MausBot Cloud. My Cloud couldn't load 1Password, the Data tab or chart images. All three work now, and bots can ask for a 1Password token through the secure prompt instead of chat. (#3048)
• Automations:
  • Turning one back on now works everywhere, and if the app can't, it says why right where you clicked. A one-time automation whose time has passed shows as Done, with Edit to pick a new time. (#3038)
  • Deleting a bot removes its automations too. Leftovers from earlier deletions are cleaned up and never run. (#3038, #3039)
  • "Set it up yourself" starts with a bot chosen, so you can save straight away. (#3056)
  • Sentences read naturally: "next: tomorrow 9:00 AM", "Every 2 minutes", and names and acronyms keep their capitals. (#3038, #3057)
  • An automation triggered by another app shows its recent calls under More, including refused ones with a plain reason (such as "Wrong secret"), and what it last received. Its secret stays hidden until you press Show. (#3038)
• My Cloud runs on your time. Daily and weekly automations on a Cloud now fire at your local time, not UTC. (#3054)
• The browser on My Cloud comes back after a restart. (#3055)
• Google passkey sign-in no longer freezes a bot's browser. You get the options that work: connect Google as an app (best for Gmail, Calendar and Drive), Try another way with a password and code, or use the browser on your lent PC. (#3050)
• Lending your computer to My Cloud:
  • Let My Cloud use this computer is now one switch that shows its real state and when My Cloud last used your computer. It signs back in by itself if the session ends.
  • Bots say "PC", "Mac" or "computer" correctly, and say plainly when it's offline. (#3053)
• A bot whose Claude is signed out uses its backup. If you've set a backup engine for the bot or workspace, the turn moves to it instead of failing. (#3061)
• A routine that keeps failing the same way tells you once, not on every run. (#3052)
• Dictation on macOS keeps what you said across pauses, and stops when you send. (#3044)
• Check for updates on another server's page asks you to reload when the page is older than its server, instead of saying it's up to date. (#3042)
• Codex settings typed in "Set CLI" (-c key=value) now reach Codex. (#3045)
• Stripe secret and restricted keys are hidden in logs and chats, like other keys. (#3037)
• A Chief changed into a regular bot no longer keeps showing its old teams. (#3036)
• Browsing through a lent PC works on your own browser. A bot opens the page in your browser and works on the screen, recovers from a dropped connection, and says exactly what to do if the PC is offline or locked, or if Windows Defender has quarantined the helper. (#3049)

OpenMausBot updates itself. If it doesn't, download the installer for your system below and install it over the old one. Your bots and chats are kept. MausBot Clouds move to this version on their own.
