OpenMausBot 0.1.120
This release adds a Today page, keeps bots working in more setups, and fixes a bug that could stop the starter bot answering. Update to get it. There is nothing else to do.
New
- Send to My Cloud happens by itself, chats included.
- This computer keeps My Cloud up to date: your bots, skills, logins, 1Password, settings and now your chats. It is one way, and nothing is ever deleted on either side. Long chats, context summaries and group rooms arrive whole and in order.
- My Cloud's welcome shows "Bringing…" until your things have arrived, then names what came over.
- If something can't go, a plain line says why. Try again shows only when trying again can help.
- You can turn it off in Settings → MausBot Cloud. (#3163)
- Bots on My Cloud tell you what to connect. If a bot uses an MCP server or app that isn't signed in on My Cloud yet, it says so in the chat with a link to connect it. (#3186)
- Today page: what your bots finished, what needs you, and the time they saved you. (#3019)
- Your profile photo in Settings → Profile. It is cropped to a square and its location data is removed. Thanks to @KalyelNLaurindo. (#3031)
- Google Gemini is easy to find. If you have a Gemini subscription, it already works through Google's own Antigravity engine. The engine is now listed as Google Gemini (Antigravity), so searching for "Gemini" finds it. (#3173)
- Remove an added provider account. Removing an Antigravity account also deletes its stored Google sign-in. (#3154)
- A new look, Pop. (#2960)
- See each bot's model at a glance: in Advanced mode, the model shows as a small badge on the bot's picture in the sidebar. (#2999)
- Each VPS bot can use its own server. Give a Self-hosted VPS bot its own SSH alias in Bot settings → Access. A bot whose server is gone for good can still be deleted or moved. Thanks to @mohitnigah786-a11y. (#3087)
- Local VM computers fill in forms reliably. The desktop's driver is updated. In our tests, bots finished 21 of 21 tasks, including the forms that failed every time before. (#3181)
- Your Local VM updates itself the first time it's idle after this release. It keeps its files and website sign-ins. The first update takes a few minutes while the new desktop is prepared.
- Until then, a bot waits for its desktop instead of using your own computer.
- VPS desktops on the old version ask once to be replaced, from their Computer panel.
- Team servers can store more attachments. Self-hosted teams can raise the 512 MB limit with
OMB_ATTACHMENTS_MAX_BYTES. Thanks to @balabommablock-cpu. (#3167)
Fixes
- "Use this key for every Claude bot" no longer stops "Claude (API key)" bots. Before, turning it on made every message to those bots fail, including the starter bot. Now they all run on your key, and the usage line says billed to your API key instead of "on your subscription". (#3177)
- Let My Cloud use this computer:
- Windows: a bot's browser no longer fails to start, and no longer falls back to the built-in browser, when Chrome cancels its first page. (#3182)
- GitHub's MCP server works in chat again. 41 of its 49 tools were being skipped. Thanks to @balabommablock-cpu. (#3169)
- Codex: a usage-limit reset given only as a time is read as today, not tomorrow. (#3102)
- Rooms: a room's chats and settings are saved before they are shown. (#3010)
- Computer panel:
- Switching a bot's model: "Switch it too" now tells you when a busy chat kept its own model. (#3109)
- Bots on OpenAI-compatible models get one short nudge when they say they'll do something and then stop. "Let me know" no longer counts as a promise. (#3035)
Faster and lighter
- Claude bots reuse more of their cache. The part of the instructions that doesn't change now goes first, and it is sent again after a context summary, where it was being lost. (#2957)
- Bot pictures use far less power. All of them share one clock, redraw only when something changes, and pause when off screen. Before, each one redrew up to 120 times a second. (#3174)
Still on an older version?
OpenMausBot updates itself. If it doesn't, download the installer for your system below and install it over the old one. Your bots and chats are kept. MausBot Clouds move to this version on their own.
