📝 Release Description

Welcome to the first official release of MyNotes v1.0, a lightweight, cross-platform text editor built using Java Swing.

🔧 Requirements

  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE 8 or higher) must be installed on your system.

🚀 How to Run

  1. Download and extract the .zip package.
  2. Navigate into the extracted folder.
  3. Run the application:
    • Double-click the file MyNotes.jar, or
    • Run manually via terminal/command prompt: 
      java -jar MyNotes.jar

  • Full-featured text editor with line numbers, word wrap, and undo/redo
  • Built-in Help and About dialogs
  • Print and font support
  • Status bar with line/word/char tracking
