New Features

  • Added embedded blocks: a native container for XML layouts and Compose that shows Mindbox content in place — the stories feed today, other mechanics later
  • Added support for managing embedded blocks from the Mindbox admin panel: content, targeting and A/B tests, all changeable on the fly
  • Added ability to customize an embedded block: a custom placeholder while it loads, a custom error view, load and fail callbacks and a load timeout
  • Added the Compose API in a separate artifact, cloud.mindbox:mindbox-embedded-compose; the View API ships in cloud.mindbox:mobile-sdk

Important

A block is identified by its placeSystemName and must stay a single instance for the lifetime of the screen. Creating it in onBindViewHolder, or placing it as a LazyColumn item, makes the host build a new block on every rebind — the content reloads and the stories carousel restarts from the first page.
