🐛 Critical Fix

Fixed incomplete sky coverage in v2.0. Previous version only covered Dec=-5° to +7° (primarily Orion region), causing plate solving to fail for most of the sky including popular targets like Pleiades, Andromeda, etc.

✨ What's Fixed

  • Full sky coverage: Dec=-78° to +78° (was -5° to +7°)
  • Pleiades now solvable: 17 triangle patterns in M45 region (was 0)
  • Smart star distribution: Stars selected evenly across 288 sky regions (24 RA × 12 Dec grid)
  • Better matching: Triangles now cover entire visible sky from both hemispheres

📊 Technical Details

  • Stars: 500,000 (unchanged)
  • Triangles: 106,285 (down from 1.4M, but evenly distributed!)
  • Algorithm: Sky grid-based star selection instead of brightness-only
  • Coverage: All constellations now included

🔄 How to Update

  1. Open AstroStack app
  2. Go to Settings → Offline Catalog
  3. App will auto-detect v2.1 and prompt to update
  4. Download (~17 MB)

⚠️ Important

All v2.0 users should update to v2.1 - v2.0 had severely limited sky coverage and would fail on most images outside the Orion region.
