Personal Branch Implementation and Enhanced test and Documentation

In this release, we -

• Implemented the personal branch feature where user can bookmark their favorite notes in a group.
• Improved UI by refining options presented to the user and bringing consistency in color and style in different components.
• Added instructions in readme file to include build and run instructions.
• Tested and fixed some bugs for smooth UX.
• Added postman endpoint testing options at the root folder.

Discussion Thread, Branching and Tag Feature

In this release, we implement the following features-

• Discussion thread for members to ask/share thoughts with classmates
• Master Branch for members to find the most upvoted note for each date with one click
• Create and assign tags to notes for better organization and structure

We also tested our API endpoints and fixed bugs on both frontend and backend. A few of the major bug fixes are

• Bug fix to limit the range of date selection to prevent users from selecting a very large range( eg. 1900-2100 or 200 years)
• Bug fix to show feedback on invalid selection during group creation (eg. endTime ends before startTime.)
• Bug fix to allow user toggle (add/delete) notes from personal branch
• ... And many more.

Rating and commenting with enhanced UI for UX improvement

In this release, we implemented functionality to allow user

• To comment on a lecture note
• To upvote and downvote on a lecture note
• To browse different parts of the application easily with improved color-consistent UI

In this release, we also

• Lay out the building block of other upcoming features in the UI
• Focuses on user experience by improving the color and placement of different components of the application
• Added some features in the backend to expedite future development and ship those features quickly to users via consistent UX.

Note creation inside a group and in personal group

In this release, we implemented functionality to allow user

• Create a note inside a group with a date when the class met
• Create a note without requiring a date inside the personal space
• Delete/update a note in personal space
• UI enhancement on the dashboard and group view
• Added notification center on drawer
• Added logout feature on drawer

Group Organization and Dashboard Enhancement

In this release, we implemented functionality to allow user

• to login/signup/logout to the RUNotes platform
• to access a personalized dashboard after login
• to create a group
• invite to a group
• join to a group
• to see all the groups they joined in a dashboard
