MediaGrabber v1.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Aug 21:10

What's new

  • Supports any HLS audio rendition from the manifest, using its NAME, LANGUAGE, GROUP-ID, DEFAULT, and AUTOSELECT values.
  • Complete downloads are shown as quality - audio name, for example 720p - Eng.Original or 720p - TVShows.
  • Audio-only entries remain available as Audio - ....
  • Resolves browser opaque HLS relay URLs and rewrites media playlists before FFmpeg.
  • Allows extensionless relay segment URLs through FFmpeg HLS options.
  • Shows a short retry message instead of exposing a long raw FFmpeg URL error.

Usage

Start the player for a few seconds before downloading so the browser can provide fresh temporary relay mappings. Choose the combined quality - audio name entry for a video with the selected voiceover.

Installation

Download MediaGrabber-Setup-win-x64.exe and MediaGrabber-extension.zip, verify them with SHA256SUMS.txt, run the setup, then load the extracted extension folder in Chrome or Edge Developer mode.

Installation

  1. Download MediaGrabber-Setup-win-x64.exe and MediaGrabber-extension.zip.
  2. Run the setup executable. It installs CoApp, FFmpeg, ffprobe, and yt-dlp.
  3. Extract MediaGrabber-extension.zip to a permanent folder.
  4. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
  5. Reload the extension and open a page with video.

The extension is distributed through GitHub and is not published in the Chrome Web Store. Chrome requires the Load unpacked step for this installation method.

Verify downloaded files with SHA256SUMS.txt. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt for FFmpeg and yt-dlp licensing.
