What is this, in one paragraph?

Hermes agents accumulate session history and extracted memory facts, but that data usually lives buried in app-internal storage. This template gives you an Obsidian vault that Hermes can write into on a schedule (hourly, by default) — raw session archives land in Daily/, get reviewed and deduped into Memory-Review/ candidates, and only durable, human-approved facts get promoted into Hermes's native MEMORY.md/USER.md. Everything in between is just markdown files you can browse, search, and link like any other Obsidian vault.

Implemented Features

  • Semantic search layer (Scripts/semantic_search.py) – local vector search over sessions and knowledge, powered by a Dashboard widget for natural‑language queries.
  • Automated session tagging & topic tracking (Scripts/session_tagger.py) – lightweight keyword‑based tagger that runs after archiving, maintains a tag cloud and trend history, exposed via a Dashboard widget.
  • Future skill forecast widget (Scripts/skill_forecast.py) – analyzes vault activity trends and installed skills to suggest which skills to learn/install next for maximum relevance.

Getting started

See the Installation Guide for step‑by‑step instructions, or paste the master install prompt from INSTALL_PROMPT.md directly into your Hermes chat to set up the vault and hourly archiving in one go.
