v3.3.3
v3.2.3
Esc now quits yoink when no overlay is open (clean exit, same as Ctrl-C). With an overlay open, Esc still just closes it. Updates in-app help, the bindings footer, and the README.
v3.2.2
Fix for the yoink shell wrapper configuration in the user's bash profile.
v3.2.1
v3.2.0
- Added a new auto-update feature which detects newer versions of yoink and prompts you to install the new update.
- Reworked the installer script to better detect and edit the bash profile of the user for the yoink section/function configuration.
- Fixed an issue with the headless mode which affected output. Requires a change to the user's bash profile, hence the improvements to the installer script.
v3.1.0
Added headless mode to purely output text. This is a useful option for LLMs or copy/pasting results to other people.
Sample output from yoink 'version' -o markdown --limit 1:
yoink results: version
mode: glob · sort: depth · case: insensitive · 220 matches in /home/aidan/yoink (showing first 1)

v3.0.0
For this version, I have completely reworked the UI to improve the user experience and to make usage easier to understand for new users.
Notable changes include:
- Added GLOB search. This means that rather than using regex like
my.*search.*termsyou can now use glob withmy*search*terms. This is the new default for search formatting to make the program easier to use for beginners. - Added a settings menu to change the default settings for search, sort, and case sensitivity
- Added a config file that allows for user-configurable binds for actions
- Added a binds help menu
- Added menus to change the current search settings.

v2.3.0
Significantly improved performance. Should now be nearly on-par with raw ripgrep, even with git blame lazy-loading, formatting, preview, etc.
