Notification API Enhancements

The notification client has been significantly expanded to provide finer control over user notification preferences and listing behavior.

  • Added autoUpdatesActivated and autoUpdatesSupported boolean filters to app installation listing requests, allowing applications to query installations based on their auto-update states.
  • Introduced notificationsAdjustNotificationMessageTypeSettings to update channel settings for specific notification message types.
  • Introduced notificationsGetNotificationSettings to retrieve current user notification configurations across all message types and channels.
  • Enhanced notificationsListNotifications with customizable sorting. New sort (enum: createdAt, severity) and order (enum: asc, desc) query parameters are now supported, defaulting to creation date descending.
  • Replaced legacy notification read methods with a unified notificationsUpdateNotificationStatus endpoint for better status management consistency.

Activity Log Membership Events

Comprehensive schema support has been added to track all membership lifecycle events within the activity log.

  • MembershipInviteCreated: Captures invite creation with pre- and post-invite role and expiration details.
  • MembershipInviteStatusChanged: Logs invite lifecycle transitions including resent, accepted, declined, revoked, and expired states.
  • MembershipMemberAdded: Tracks new member onboarding and inherited role assignments.
  • MembershipMemberRoleUpdated: Records role changes for existing members.
  • MembershipMemberExpiryUpdated: Monitors modifications to member subscription or access expiration dates.
  • MembershipMemberRemoved: Documents member departures, expirations, or forced removals.
  • All new activity log events include standardized Changes objects for before/after state comparison, Parameters objects for contextual metadata, and typed enums for roles and event names.

Improvements & Refactoring

  • Generated client classes now fully support immutable builder patterns (with*, without*, get*) for all new filter and sorting parameters.
  • Request and response payloads for the notification client have been regenerated to align with the latest V2 API specification.
  • Removed outdated request/response classes associated with deprecated notification read endpoints to reduce package bloat and improve type safety.
  • Validation schemas for new boolean and enum filters have been integrated directly into the generated request builders.

Migration Notes

  • The deprecated notificationsReadNotification and notificationsReadAllNotificationsDeprecated methods have been removed. Migrate to notificationsUpdateNotificationStatus for updating notification read/unread states.
  • When constructing app installation list requests, utilize the new withAutoUpdatesActivated() and withAutoUpdatesSupported() methods to filter by auto-update preferences.
  • Notification listing requests now implicitly sort by createdAt descending. Explicitly override using withSort() and withOrder() if different ordering is required.
  • Activity log consumers will now receive additional union type variants for LogEntry->action. Ensure pattern matching or type guards handle the new membership-related event types.
